I ACT (Integrated Access to Care and Support)

In partnership with SA partners, Zoë-Life is the lead Provincial partner in Kwazulu Natal to roll-out I ACT throughout the Province.


Integrated Access to Care and Treatment, I ACT (, supports the needs of people who are HIV positive and others affected by HIV by providing knowledge, skills and access to a continuum of care in local communities.

I ACT offers a highly participatory curriculum for six group meetings:

  • Learning About HIV
  • Treatment
  • Acceptance of Status
  • Confidence for Disclosure
  • Healthy Living
  • Prevention Strategies

Through these carefully facilitated and structured sessions, I ACT provides a sense of belonging, a safe and comforting space to share feelings, access to accurate information and a community of support and hope.

Zoë-Life’s Role

Zoe-Life is currently the Partner organisation implementing I ACT in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.  This programme is running in six districts within the province namely Ethekwini, Umgungundlovu, Ilembe, Uthungulu, Uthukela and Amajuba district.  It is running in clinics, NGOs, schools and businesses within those districts.
